This is my favorite place to eat chilaquiles con carne asada, food in general is sooo good. The menudo is also really good and the aguas frescas are so refreshing, I love the limon con pepino one.
Service is great the waitress are very friendly and polite.

    -Cash only!

I am a native of Los Angeles growing up in Echo Park, Highland Park, Mount Washington, Eagle Rock and so on. I venture regularly through my old stomping grounds and was pleasantly surprised to find Lupitas. With the closing of La Abejas in Highland Park it was nice to see a hidden gem within a mile. Not that the good is the same. But what drew me to the restaurant was the mural on the side of the restaurant.
After I entered the restaurant to purchase a squirt, I spoke with the owner to share what drew me to the location. Needless to say the conversation and personality hit home and I intend on coming back with my family. First impressions are everything and this restaurant made a lasting one.

This is a local neighborhood place.  Their menu is your basic Mexican fare.  The service was good once the server came to the table.  Unfortunately, that was not often.  The food was okay.  The salsa was deliciously spicy.  Overall, I probably won't be back.  There are plenty of places in the hood to eat
    Mexican.

A hidden gem! We only waited 20 minutes. Delicious and affordable Mexican food in LA. The carne asada burrito and quesadilla were fantastic for the price. Also, the most authentic horchata I've ever had. Super friendly staff and crowd. I'll be coming back.

Its 12 pm and this place is pretty full. Nice place to come with your family or friends. The employees are working pretty hard and the cashiers have a great attitude.

Ordered a burrito beans, rice, and asada. Pretty Good Burrito. But not as big as I thought it would be. Im skinny so If you're a big boy , order 2 or some tacos on the side.

Im definitely getting another burrito here forsure.

The red "salsa" is hotter than a mother.. but that's my opinion. Im sure others will enjoy it.
